At Bhagat Puran Singh School for the Deaf, Manawala, we are committed to providing a strong academic foundation tailored to the unique learning needs of deaf and mute students. Our curriculum not only supports traditional learning but also integrates innovative teaching methods that ensure students grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally.

We follow the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) syllabus, offering subjects like Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, English, and Punjabi. The medium of instruction is Indian Sign Language (ISL), combined with visual aids, interactive presentations, and practical demonstrations. This bilingual and inclusive approach helps students understand concepts better and prepares them for higher education or vocational pathways.

​For the first time in Punjab, we have pioneered bilingual education in English and Punjabi through sign language, making learning more accessible and meaningful.

Teachers at our school are not only trained in subject matter but are also skilled in sign language and special education techniques, ensuring that each student receives personalized attention and encouragement.
